So just checking out some functionality - can I post a picture up of my gorgeous kids?

Hmmmm. Couldn't do it. Let me talk to the clever people....

4,315 kms and we are back

We got back yesterday from a fab 2 weeks holiday. We drove 3 days to Prince Edward Island, had a week in a cottage, and then came back via Quebec City where we stayed for 3 nights.

change your thinking

Here's what we should expect as Christians (it's all promised in the Word):

  • life
  • abundance
  • revelation
  • visitations
  • transportations
  • throne room encounters
  • wealth
  • joy
  • happiness
  • heaven on earth
  • good things to find you out
  • victory
  • love
  • joy
  • peace
  • favour

These are in no particular order, and the list is by no means exhaustive (God is sooooo good).

2 BIG announcements

First, I want to apologize for not blogging for what seems like ages and ages (and probably is). I guess the honeymoon period with a newborn is well and truly over and life seems busy busy busy. Any spare moments I get are used to retreat into reading or watching something on DVD (we're currently enjoying Alias thanks to Alyn and AJ).

hardware check

With some of the money that some amazing people have sown into junctionj, I invested in light and sound gear for when we start podcasting.

It took me about 2 hours to set it up for the first time (starting at 9pm when my home duties were over) and then I only had the energy to ramble for a few minutes about my set up.

Realise that I need some external help. So Alyn, Sean and Jon, here's advance warning if you read this that you will be coming to consult on my set up!!!!

I am setting up new feeds for itunes, so this is a very necessary step in the equation.

Desperation

How desperate are we? How desperate am I? For God? For his prescence, his life, his love?

God popped the question into my head on Sunday morning at church yesterday and it left me reeling somewhat.

How desperate am I to see God move? The sad answer in all honesty is not much at all. I have a life after all, a new baby, a family, a job, an internet church, a blog, relationships. All these take up so much energy. It doesn't help that I am short on sleep, but that's no excuse.

meditation

Interesting reading a comment from Cathy on the forum about the trinitarian view of community by Ed Piorek.

I watched The Karate Kid last night and I have to say I rather enjoyed the cheeseyness of it - just what I needed. I saw the sensei meditating, and it sparked something in me. I used to meditate, and I haven't for a while. Ed had a great model for meditation - the trinitarian view:
Lord Jesus, have mercy on me
Holy Spirit, come to me
Father God, I rest in your bosom

Living in the Word

Our friend Laura has got us thinking... she was really looking into Rhema bible college in Oklahama - some of her family have done it and really inspired her - living according to the Word is something that is certainly attainable.

cell tonight

We had a great cell tonight, Randy and Sue have moved from Montana and are completing the cell. We are closing the Toronto cell as we have what we think is the max number of people on Skype (6-8) and we don't really want to grow the number of people within each cells, we want to grow leaders and pass new people on to the leaders. So that's what we are doing.

first blog

Hiya everybody, this is our first of many blogs!

We are working hard on the community site to get things up and running which is very exciting. Hopefully we'll have a working beta to roll out and start testing! How exciting!
