I got an email with this and thought I would post as we are in an open heaven for Gods blessings Blessings to all especially those who need healings
How to Activate the Power of Passover
by David Herzog
Monday night April 18th started the beginning of the biblical feast and seasonal open heaven portal of Passover! There is a promised open heaven visitation and huge blessing during certain seasons of time on the calendar that God has set up as divine rendez-vous moments for us. Will we show up to this appointment/visitation with God?
God promised to visit His people during specific seasons of time known as the feasts. God opened the heavens in both the old and new testament during these feasts (ie. Passover, Pentecost, Tabernacles etc). The same God of yesterday, today and forever will show up in the same and even greater ways today during these seasons when we take the time out to worship Him and feast on Him on purpose during these same divine appointments with God?
The fact that God will even restore in the last days the Feast of Tabernacles as He says in the book of Zechariah points to the fact that there are seasons in God where we can expect God to visit us. Jesus even told them to wait for the promises to be fulfilled after His departure during Pentecost a certain kairos season of time.
It appears that celebrating Passover was actually encouraged in the early church with the revelation that Jesus fulfilled the meaning of Passover and now becomes "the reason for the season". In I Corinthians 5:7&8, Paul tells the Corinthians: “Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: Therefore let us keep the feast (Passover, not with old leaven (legalism) . . . but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth." Jesus, Himself, fulfills the meaning of this feast, being our passover lamb. He did not abolish it but adds fresh meaning and glory to it. The glory of this seasonal portal can be opened as it was in the early church. Even the apostles continued celebrating Passover as Jesus told them to continue it and as often as you do this "do this in remembrance of Me." Some misunderstand verse 26 which says: "As often as you eat this bread, and drink this cup," by interpreting it "take it as often as you wish." But it does not necessary say that though there is power in taking communion anytime. Communion really comes from the Passover as it is one of the cups taken at Passover.
It says "as often" as you observe it (Passover), "you do show the Lord's death till He come." Even Jesus commanded, "This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me" (verse 25). We do it in remembrance of the Lord's death—a memorial of His death and claim the blessings of his death and resurrection! It is also important to pray for Israel and the Jewish people that many will find salvation in their Messiah during this time as they contemplate the meaning of Passover this week.
All throughout the Bible there is a supernatural exchange of things that take place when the people of God made it a point to honor the time and seasonal portal of Passover. Though we know that we can claim these blessings at anytime, the Bible does tell us to "keep the Feast (Passover)" as something extra special is to be released during this season. Just as the feast of Pentecost was initiated by God with the ancient Israelites, we too having been grafted in by faith in Jesus are God's people and are invited to His party and feasts as they continued on in the New Testament with even greater glory and power released! In fact the disciples continued to celebrate Passover as the believers worshiped and prayed together the seasonal portal opened up again, nothing legalistic or religious about the day of Pentecost for example, pure glory, love, power, authority, visitation and harvest! Sounds like a party Holy Spirit party to me!
We have noticed every time we come together in a conference or family to worship the Lord during these seasons the glory and power is extra powerful. The healings, miracles, clarity in hearing God, prophetic words, signs and wonders and overwhelming Glory of God is always on a higher level than at other times of the year. I have noticed this even in my early days of ministering whenever I spoke during these seasons, not knowing they were God's appointed seasonal portals, and then trying to figure out why every single year at the same season the glory, power, blessing and harvest was so much stronger on Pentecost, Passover or other feasts. Then years later God started to open my eyes why He showed up so powerfully during these seasons. Now we purposely plan to have God visit us during these seasonal portals instead of accidently bumping into the greater glory during these time. Sometimes there is a negative knee-jerk reaction to Passover in some Christians out of fear of legalism but there is nothing "religious" or legalistic about asking God to visit you during His appointed time that He wrote about in His word to expect the supernatural on a much higher level. The scriptures themselves attest to greater open heaven encounters with God during these times.
It's amazing that the most important event in human history occurred on Passover, Jesus' death and resurrection that paid the price for all humanity. What is even more amazing is that the lamb in the time of Jesus was always supposed to be chosen from Bethlehem, brought from the Mount of Olives down through the Sheep's Gate on the 10th day of Nisan. This is exactly what Jesus did, who was born in Bethlehem, on the very same day the 10th day of Nisan, came from the Mt. of Olives entered the same Sheep's gate as the people shouted Hosanna choosing their Lamb. (Matt. 21:1-23; Mark 11:1-19; Luke 19:28-47; John 12:12-18) Then the lamb was to be examined for any defects or faults by the Pharisees and Sadducees. Jesus was examined by them but they could find no fault in Jesus having to rely on false witnesses to accuse Him.
In the morning on the day the lamb was to be displayed for all to see (which most agree would have been at 9am) which is also the time when everyone could see Jesus where He was placed on the cross at the same time on the 14th day.
At 3pm the High Priest ascends the altar on the actual day of Passover and the priest is supposed to declare, "It is Finished!" (Meaning the debt is paid in full). At that exact time when the High Priest said these words when the lamb was slain, is the exact time when Jesus breathed His last words before dying also saying, "It is Finished!".
Now we know why He said these words, so that the Jewish people who fully understood the meaning of these Passover symbols times and dates would realize that He actually was the Messiah and the actual Passover Lamb who takes away the sins of the world. In fact many more Jews began to believe in the Messiah in Israel after this as we see continuing in the book of Acts as this culminated in not only the Jews but then the entire world hearing the gospel as it came to the Jews in Israel first.
I once shared this simple truth to an Israeli Jewish taxi driver taking me to the airport from Jerusalem to Tel Aviv. He asked what I believed about the movie "The Passion." I asked him if he realized that Yeshua (Jesus) died on the exact day, time and hour that the Passover lamb was being slain by the High Priest. He was amazed and said, "Now I know why they call Him the Lamb, I never understood until now." It was so logical to him that he immediately told me that He totally believed that Yeshua (Jesus) was the Jewish Messiah just because of this one simple truth as he prayed the sinner's prayer with me to receive Yeshua into his life as his Messiah. It was the easiest and most natural salvations I ever witnessed.
I wonder how many more Jewish people would be saved today if Christians truly understood the meaning behind the Passover, why He died on Passover and the double meaning behind Jesus last words. When you understand these truths they are like "code" for the Jewish people as it can open them open much easier to be able to receive their Messiah.
Passover is so powerful because it involves blood. The enemy stole the revelation of Passover from the church through persecution from Constantine for anyone caught celebrating Passover. As years went by the church lost the revelation and came up with other substitute celebrations of Jesus like Christmas and Easter which are well meaning but no where near the power of Passover because Passover involves blood and is actually in the Bible celebrated by believers before, during and after Jesus death on the cross. Satan is so scared of the blood so he replaces the Lamb slain with pagan unbiblical Easter eggs (which is no where to be found in the Bible) to rob us of the full power and meaning of the blood and Passover. As you celebrate Jesus as the Passover Lamb you actually activate the full power, blessing, favor and protection of Passover.
I believe that as born again believers we can walk in the "spirit" of the season believing for an open heaven and special blessing during this seasonal portal. There is a special open heaven portal that we have noticed that opens up when we come together during passover, worship Him and give a special offering to the Lord during this time as well as search our own hearts of any hidden sin asking God to forgive, cleanse and deliver us as we enter the next season. Some of the blessings that God promises in Exodus 23 are listed below.
1.God Will Assign An Angel To You
2.He’ll Be An Enemy To Your Enemies
3.He Will Give You Prosperity
4.He Will Take Sickness Away From You and Your Family
5.He Will Give You A Long Life
6.He Will Cause Increase In Your Life
7.He’ll Give a Special Year’s Blessing
We are always excited about Passover. During one of the feasts we celebrated in our conference here in Sedona everyone heard angels singing audibly into the building and the glory was the so thick you felt like you were floating in heaven not to mention the healings, miracles, signs and wonders that occurred. Even the unsaved ran into the hotel ballroom amazed at the angels singing and were drawn by the presence of God. Everyone was in awe including the keyboard player who was not playing at the time. We know the glory but this was another level of glory as we go from glory to glory. We are so excited about this Passover and what God will do during our conference this week and in our personal time with God!
"For seven days celebrate the Feast to the LORD your God at the place the LORD will choose. For the LORD your God will bless you in all your harvest and in all the work of your hands, and your joy will be complete."
Deuteronomy 16:15
"Three times in a year all your males shall appear before the LORD your God in the place which He chooses, at the Feast of Unleavened Bread and at the Feast of Weeks and at the Feast of Booths, and they shall not appear before the LORD empty-handed."
Deuteronomy 16:16
The first Passover the people:
1-Sacrificed their best lamb
2-Applied the blood on the doorposts
3-Moved in Faith out of their bondage into the promised land.
I believe the greater glory can be activated as we:
1-Offer God our best sacrificial offering and our lives
2-Apply the blood to cleanse our hearts
3-Move in faith into our next season of destiny
The past several years besides coming before Him and worshipping and searching our hearts and celebrating with God's people we have always given our biggest offerings during these seasonal portals and we have always been amazed at the greater glory, miracles and blessing that came as a result of our setting time aside to worship Him and give sacrificially to God! As you celebrate this seasonal portal believe that this next season of your life starting today will drastically shift into greater realms of His Glory, Power and Blessing!
