My Friend in Need

Please pray for a friend of ours, PC, who we have been trying to help for the last several months.

We have known her for roughly 15 years, and she even lived with us for awhile. She is not only an orphan, but all of her immediate family died of untimely deaths, usually of serious illness. Due to unresolved grief, she has wrestled with severe emotional issues from her severe losses.

A few months ago she began talking to us about her employer who was mistreating her, and we encouraged her to leave the employer. Unfortunately, she was living with that person part-time. The other person she would live with was an elderly person who could have to go to a nursing home at any time.

In addition to all of this, she was facing major surgery on a benign tumor. We agreed to take her in until her surgery and during her recovery, a total time of 3 months. She has now been with us 6 weeks, and we have been trying ot help her develop some of her skills. Before she was working as a part-time made, however she is gifted with languages and has begun helping us translating my dad’s upcoming book into Chinese. Although my younger sister and I have been doing translation for many years, she was not only way better than us, but better than almost any translation we had ever read. Unfortunately, we discovered in the process that although she has skills to work, she does not have the EQ for it.
In addition, we began inner healing and deliverance ministry with her to help her begin dealing not only with her family history, but also the typical generational issues in Chinese families due to idol worship and ancestor worship.

Last week she went into the hospital to have her tumor removed. Her surgery has gone well, and she is recovering nicely. She should be able to return to us while she is getting back on her feet, roughly another six weeks.

Unfortunately, a well-meaning friend of hers decided that we were ignorant foreigners and were not handling her situation correctly, and is now trying to sabotage what we have been trying to do. I understand that all of her friends want to help her, but this particular person, at least according to PC, is refusing to speak to us. Please pray that whatever happens will be the best for PC. We are definitely anxious about it, but want God’s will to be done.

Please pray that PC will find a permanent place to live, a job, and discover God’s purpose for her life. Pray that God will continue to heal her physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

Pray for us, that we will be able to trust God and not stress out about this. It is so frustrating for my family because this kind of thing has happened multiple times with different ministry situations.

Thanks guys!
